"Well Done" X "Serve Somebody Right"

Hoje vamos estudar quando usar as expressões "Well done" e "It serves you right". Observe os exemplos abaixo:

"Well-done":
1. Study this example:

Waiter: "How would you like your steak?"
You    : "Well-done, please."

"Well-done" is an adjective used to describe meat that is cooked all the way through and not just outside.

2. Now study this example:
Son     : "I passed my exam."
Mother: "Well done".

"Well done" is used as a way of praising someone and saying that you are pleased about and approve of something they have done.

"Serve somebody right":
Study this example:

Little Sister: "He hit me!"
Brother     : " It serves you right. You shouldn't have been rude to him."

If you say that something bad serves someone right, you mean that they deserve it.

Study these examples carefully and in case you have any questions let me know, ok?
